'Italy Made Me' Research Prize

Gennaro Senatore, EngD Researcher in the department, was the proud recipient of an ‘Italy Made Me’ research prize. The prize is supported by the Italian Embassy and the Association ‘Il Circolo’ and was presented by Ambassador Pasquale Terracciano at the Italian Embassy earlier in July.

The prizes are awarded in recognition of outstanding research performed in the UK by Italian citizens at the early stage of their career, with Gennaro’s submission based on his work developing the adaptive truss. A panel of experts from the Scientific Council of the Italian Embassy in London selected six winners from among the 58 applications received.

After the prizes were awarded, the results of a research aiming to map all Italian academics in UK were presented, as was the re-launch of the Association of Italian scientists in UK (AISUK).

Congratulations to Gennaro on this very well deserved award!
